Georgetta Jean DeWald, born November 5, 1937, to George Hester and Verna (Rankin) Hester, died November 25, 2020.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia, Kansas. She graduated from Otis High School and also graduated after 4 years from Fort Hays State University. She married James DeWald on May 9, 1966. She worked and lived on a farm all her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, James DeWald; and two step daughters; Andrea Janzen from Buhler, Kansas, and Stephanie Hermes from West Des Moines, Iowa; six step grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Vernetta Rogers from Hutchinson, Kansas, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

There will be no visitation due to cremation and burial will be at a later date.
