Geneva Ann Arreguin, died April 6, 2025, at Clara Barton Hospital ER, Hoisington, Kansas.  She was born July 30, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Domingo and Susie (Alba) Palacio.

After 12 years together, she married Leon Arreguin, Jr. on Sept. 13, 1980.  They were together for 57 years, until his death last year on January 17, 2024.

Geneva faithfully followed Leon as his job as a civilian contractor with the government always kept them on the move. She worked many jobs including waitressing, daycare, and housekeeping working lastly for a nursing facility, Beverly Enterprises in Wakefield, Kansas.

She is survived by sons; Shawn Anderson of Ottawa; Ricardo Arreguin of California, Rodney Arreguin of Ottawa, Joseph Arreguin of Topeka, and Andre Arreguin of Hoisington; brothers, Larry Palacio of Osage, Johnny Palacio of Kansas City, and Bobby Palacio of Topeka; a sister, Kathy Lewis of Louisburg; 22 grandchildren including granddaughter, Savannah Arreguin; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Leon "Meco" Arreguin, II., and sisters, Rosina Garcia, and Frances Lopez.

Per Geneva's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.  Memorials may be made to the Geneva Arreguin Memorial Fund, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS 67544.
